Headlines – “PM in new year cash giveaway” makes the headlines this week. David Cameron has heralded Britain’s economic recovery – announcing a cash boost for pensioners and hints of tax cuts for middle and top earners. An increase in personal allowance and a reduction in the top rate of tax to 40% could be on the agenda as the PM aims to capitalise on the strengthening recovery in the UK. It promises to be an interesting year for the economy.
So let me wish everyone a happy new year and I hope you all have a great break and New Year celebration. Mary and I were fortunate to be in Tignes this year. Great snow and sunshine with just one day lost to a white out. The professor had a great ski break with just the odd tumble on the slopes to keep in touch with reality. We arrived back late Friday, so no tennis news this week!
The prof missed out in the New Years Honours list but found great consolation in his inclusion in the new range of post office stamps. Yes Professor Milton Keynes is to feature on a new range of stamps featuring children’s favourites including Peppa Pig, Postman Pat and Paddington Bear. The Classic Children’s TV stamps will be released on 7 January.

Yes it promises to be an exciting year. The prof will release his forecasts and predictions for the year ahead next week. That’s all for now, hope all is well, Happy New Year!
